MUST experiences this Halloween 2018

Updated: Oct 24, 2018

It’s October and all the stores begin to sell pumpkins, candies, costumes, and skulls for the season. Some people think that Halloween it’s horrifying and scary, other people (like me) find it fun and entertaining. That is why I will tell you all the things you need to experience this Halloween in Florida.

This is the ultimate Halloween event in the country and this year it will feature more haunted houses than ever, including THE one based on the Netflix science fiction-horror show: Stranger Things.

Starting Friday, September 14, guests will be able to prove their bravery by entering haunted houses and crossing through the scare zones around Universal Studios. Below is this year’s list of houses, which are based on popular horror shows and movies.

1. Stranger Things

2. The Horrors of Blumhouse: The First Purge & Happy Death Day

3. The Revenge of Chucky

4. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers

5. Poltergeist

6. Trick ‘r Treat

But those are not all! Universal's team also develops houses with original stories:

7. Scary Tales: Everything good and decent on love stories has been stripped away as you’re thrown into a cursed realm.

8. Seeds of Extinction: A post-apocalyptic wasteland overgrown with invasive vegetation and the human race wiped from existence.

9. Carnival Graveyard - Rust in Pieces: Ride parts have become instruments of torture and the walls have been painted in the blood of those foolish enough to enter.

10. Slaughter Sinema: An old sinister sinema where you will witness 80s B-movie monsters and creatures like wolfs, Amazon cannibals, and deadly barbers.

TIPS:

- Check the calendar because HHN takes place on select nights from September 14th until November 3rd.

- You will require a separate ticket to enter the event (different from the regular park ticket).

- Make sure to purchase the right day you want to visit. Prices vary depending on the date you visit. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday are usually the lowest, staring at $62.99/night.

- If you are a Halloween fan, you might want to buy the Fear Pass that gives you access any day you want to visit the event.

- Arrive early, it starts at 6:30 p.m.

- Take a break from the scares and ride some of the open attractions.

From Sept. 21 - Oct. 28, take on terrifying haunted houses & roaming hordes.

Designed to terrify, Busch Gardens’ haunted houses will return with a vengeance, but the scares don’t stop there. Unspeakable horror lives in every dark corner, including on Busch Gardens’ pulse-pounding thrill rides and new, gruesome realm recommended for guest over the age of 17. Will Tampa survive the Halloween deadly season?

Howl-O-Scream is a separately ticketed event and the a single night ticket start at $39.99.

Of course, if you don’t like to be scared that much, you can always visit Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Seasonal decorations are just as magical and orange as you see in the image below. There are pumpkins everywhere!

You will be able to collect candies and treats at Magic Kingdom with your favorite costume. Don{t miss “Mickey’s Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade that features Haunted Mansion-themed floats, appearances by Disney characters in Halloween costumes and much more. Until October 31st, families and children of every age can enjoy the fun! Prices begin at $85 per adult and $80 per child.
