Things to do in FL after the pandemia

As uncertainty reigns around the world after the pandemia, we wonder what can we do now to have fun outside our homes and minimize risks. Well, here are a few things you can do for some fun in Florida:


The drive-through safari at West Palm is open! Tickets MUST be pre-purchased for a no contact entry here. If you are an Annual Passholder, you do not need to purchase admission.

Experience adventure from the comfort and safety of your own vehicle at Florida's largest drive-through safari with hundreds of animals roaming inches away, including some of the largest herds of giraffe, rhinoceros, and zebras in the United States. They are complying with all safety precautions: no contact admissions, daily capacity limits, mobile preserve audio tour and guide, and additional protocols for providing a healthy and safe environment for the staff, guests and animals.

  • 🦁Admission is reduced to $17 per person, plus taxes and fees.

  • 🦁 There are limited tickets for each day.

  • 🦁The preserve will be open 9:30AM to 5:30PM, with the last car admitted at 4:30PM.

  • 🦁Guests must remain in their vehicles with doors and windows closed at all time. The walk-through adventure park is closed until further notice.

Another drive-thru Safari Park with 85 acres to explore! Hit the road to Kenansville and be ready to meet with giraffes, white-tailed deer, bison, wildebeest, zebras, watusi, and oryx, to name a few. There are more than 150 exotic animals and native Florida wildlife.

  • 🦒 The safari will be open Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Last admittance being 5 p.m.

  • 🦒 Admission is $15 adults, $10 for kids.

Drive-In Cinemas

Get retro and drive to the closest autocinema, you'll be safe in your car while enjoying a movie. Check out all the drive-in movie theaters in Florida here.


Enjoy nature at some State Parks, Gardens & Beaches

Some state parks are now on an early phase of re-opening, visitors should expect limited hours, capacity and amenities. Portions of these parks and trails have been identified that can be reopened for day-use with limited risk to visitors and staff. To reduce risk, cash transactions are limited to exact change, some parks have online payment available. Check the openings here. Below is a list of a few spots you can now visit:


South Florida

  • The sidewalk along the famed Wave Wall fronting Fort Lauderdale beach is open and available for walking, running, bicycling and dog walking.

  • The Hollywood Broadwalk is open daily for walking, jogging and bicycle riding only.

  • Pompano Beach Pier: Open for walking only - no fishing. 

  • Palm Beach County beaches are open with the following conditions and restrictions: Parties accessing the beaches shall follow CDC guidelines by limiting gatherings to no more than 10 persons and distancing themselves from other parties by six feet. Peanut Island will remain closed until further notice.

  • Vizcaya Museum and Garden(only the gardens, museum is closed).

  • Zoo Miami (scheduled to open on June 1).

  • Miami Dade is opening some parks. The following facilities remain closed: Amelia Earhart Park (testing for COVID-19), all beaches, including atoll beach pools at Matheson Hammock and at Homestead Bayfront Park, Crandon Park and Haulover Park beaches.

  • Biscayne National Park: The kayak launch and restrooms at Convoy Point are open on a limited basis.

  • All Miami-Dade County marinas are open with some restrictions.

Central Florida

North Florida

Stay informed, but more importantly... stay safe! Here are some tips to keep in mind.

  • If the beach is crowded, stay away!

  • Even greater social distancing than the 6-foot rule is strongly encouraged, especially on the beach to account for wind and the movement of others.

  • Follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendation: Wear face coverings in public settings.

  • No groups larger than 10 people.
