Margaritaville in Orlando – New hotel and new waterpark

A tropical-themed hotel and water park will be opening this spring in Kissimmee, Florida. The good times guru and creator of the brand Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett, has expanded its music career to other business ventures like restaurants, hotels, and merchandise.
The new destination in Central Florida will count with four distinct parts that include Margaritaville Hotel, Margaritaville Cottages, Island H2O Live! Waterpark, and Sunset Walk shopping, dining and entertainment district.
All 184 Margaritaville Hotel rooms have a tropically chic décor with a private balcony and sweeping views of the lagoon pools by day and neighboring fireworks by night. Guest will be able to enjoy amenities such as the 24-hour access to state-of-the-art Fins Up! Fitness Center, the St. Somewhere Spa, the Parakeet’s Kids Club, the trolley service around the resort, some daily & nightly entertainment, complimentary transportation to theme park attractions, and much more. Rate starts at $199/night.
Margaritaville Cottages have the luxury of a resort with all the comforts of a vacation home. The resort’s standalone homes come in configurations ranging from one to eight bedrooms, providing plenty of room for you to unplug with just about any number of your favorite friends or family members. Now, the fun part will be Island H2O Live! Waterpark with nine slides and numerous other attractions. Some include a multi-person mat racer, drop towers, family raft rides, an interactive lazy river and a giant wave pool.
Technologic innovation will play a huge role in this experience. Guests will receive a wristband called Vantage upon arrival (similar to TapuTapu at Universal’s Volcano Bay). This device will be used to manage lockers, to buy food or merchandise, and to communicate with the park itself. Island H2O Live! will be completely interactive with an app that integrates games and experiences. You will be able to earn points good for food or merchandise discounts and, on some rides, you will be able to control the music and the lighting effects. And if those are not enough, there will be DJs and dance parties throughout the landscaped park. Adults will have their own space where children will not be allowed!

Finally, if you are up for a nice walk or to go shopping, Sunset Walk will be your place. This area will offer multiple options for leisure and amusement. Burger-Fi and Rock and Brews are already open but just wait for the rest to come. Studio Movie Grill, Gift Factory, It’s Sugar, Game Time, Ford’s Garage Prime Burger and Craft Beer, Capone’s Coal Fired Pizza, and much more will be opening soon!
